This web portal is a completely new presentation of the Human Factors Research and Engineering Group (ATOP - Human Factors) resources offered to the public via the web.  Since there is a great deal of work to transitioning resources from our old website and developing new resources, these resources will be added as they are developed and tested (we didn’t want to wait until everything was finished to offer our new site).  To help you use the site and to keep you updated on the changes to the site, watch the announcements that will be shown in the information boxes on the right of the screen (How to Use the Site, HF Web Portal Updates, Feedback, and Finding Information)

Welcome to the FAA's HUMAN FACTORS RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING GROUP’s (ATOP-AJP-61) Web Portal. Although our old website has served us for many years, it has become obsolete both in technology and content.  The obsolete technology has slowed our transition to a new site but we believe that our new site will evolve into an excellent resource for our group and the FAA to accomplish our mission and give the public the opportunity to tell us how we can improve the site for their needs.  

One of the early resources available is a database of human factors research documents (look under the FIND INFO Tab, SEARCH FOR INFORMATION Sub Tab).  Documents may include videos, Power Point presentations, and other media.
